“My name is Rosa Guzman and I was a part of Girls Inc. last year. I was involved with the weekly after-school coding group and my program leader was Rosa Alvarado. I just wanted to say thank you to Girls Inc. and Rosa for the experience. It really helped me figure out what I want to pursue and that is a double major in Mathematics and Computer Science. I am currently at UC Santa Cruz and whenever I am learning about coding, I find myself remembering my days of being part of Girls Inc. whenever I am learning about coding. Also, I live on a “girls in STEM” themed floor so every day I am reminded that I am capable of a lot, which is what Girls Inc. and Rosa also taught me.
